Help Save a Lesbian Home that houses Michelle Crone

Hello friends of Michelle Crone (Demarco) who you know and love,
Michelle Crone has maintained a welcoming lesbian household in Provincetown for close to 25 years, which has enabled her to provide and produce free or affordable events for women while building community in a place that is increasingly less affordable for lesbians.
She has been a wheelchair user for the past year and a half, which has restricted her ability to organize events and earn income. It is unclear when and if she'll regain the ability to walk. She is doing everything she can to keep this home available to women coming to work and create community in a gay-centered town that's becoming more challenging for many women’s budgets.
The household she maintains (like so many of her residences over her 75 years) has served as a sort of community center for lesbians. It is now going on the market with Michelle being given the first option to buy. She has reached two-thirds of the cost, and it is the last third that she is fundraising for now.
If you know Crone, you know she has substantial LGBTQ+ credentials, having served both local and global queer and political organizing for over 50 years:
o One of the collective organizers of both the 1987 and 1993 Marches on Washington
o One of the main organizers of the National Lesbian Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, 1990
o On the board, worked with The Albany Gay & Lesbian Community Center, the oldest existing U.S. G&L center
o Founded the El Word, the first lesbian production company
o Part of the organization and administrative teams for over 25 queer and women's music festivals
o Helped create the Coordinators United Negotiating Team to achieve parity, transparency and worker’s rights at festivals
o Helped organize Seneca Women's Peace Encampment in 1983
o Helped organize AWAR - Albany Women Against Rape early 1980’s
o Helped introduce democratization through voting rights in formerly communist countries in Eastern Europe including
o Director of Cultural Festival 1994 Gay Games, NYC – producing over 78 international cultural events
o Trained, facilitated retreats, and special events at the LA Gay and Lesbian Center
o Helped organize San Diego Pride celebrations late 1990’s
o Surveyed over 400 homeless queer youth in San Diego, resulting in a queer youth center
o Produced up-and-coming and established gay and lesbian performers in Provincetown, where she also organized events, worked on local politics and disability rights, and started her residence as a lesbian (and sometimes gay perfomer) household since the early 2000’s
