Help Save A Lonely Senior Alpaca Named Cedar

Donation protected
From one animal lover to another, if you could spare me a couple of minutes to read about this beautiful boy Cedar who is in desperate need of a retirement home to save his life.

He's aged 17 and been neglected for a few years now. He comes from a very complicated, emotional and nuanced situation that I can't go into too much detail about but the basics are:
He's been living on his own without any company of any kind, without care or attention. Several years of wool, feet that haven't been cared for and a long list of routine alpaca-care requirements that have not been delivered. Underweight, malnourished, heavily fleeced, left to drink out of a ditch and absolutely very lonely. He has not been seen by the person responsible for him for a year. Left to his own devices, to fend for himself. My heart is already so proud of him for just making it this far!
He's an old boy and I strongly, whole heartedly believe he deserves to live out his last couple of years in peace with us at the farm with our herd of 21 boys and have a kind, love-filled retirement. You may not know that alpacas are a social herd-driven animal and need companionship to feel safe.
Stubbs Farm is not a charity, I am self-funded and over the years I've taken on various rescues. One of my most recent cases, I did ask for public support and it was an astronomical help.
I need to do the same for Cedar now.
He's going to come to us with a high cost. Vet care and housing costs being the most central.
I've specifically set up this Fundraiser in the hope of expanding the male alpacas house to accommodate a new alpaca that will have to live in isolation for a few weeks whilst we assess his health. Our polytunnel is large but it will need to be bigger to accomodate a new alpaca.

Anyone who may have been to the farm before, knows our boys live in a beautiful open piece of countryside that is absolutely glorious to look at - but can be hit by very harsh winds. Therefore, it determines what kind of shelter we're able to put up that can withstand storms and strong, relentless wind.
Because of this, there is a specific type of shelter we are going for in design, size and its storm-proof ability. It's mobile so it can be set up in his isolation paddock for a while and then be moved to join up next to our polytunnel so eventually all alpacas can benefit from the additional space but short and medium term - this will be Cedar's home.

So I am setting our target at £3,500 in the hopes that we can make even a little of that. Any contribution will truly, truly help bring Cedar home, get him the vet care he needs and get him into his own cosy home whilst he settles into our farm.

If you don't feel like you can donate, please share our link as far as you possibly can so as much people as possible see this for him!
