Help Save Anglers Inn Motel in Matlacha,FL!
Donation protected
As many of you may be aware, Matlacha, FL suffered severe and in some cases irreparable damage. If you’ve ever visited, you’ve seen or been to some of its historic establishments and met the wonderful residents that give the Island its character. For those that don’t know, practically every business in Matlacha was destroyed or nearly so.
My mother-in-law, Janette Fraissinet, owns and operates Angler’s Inn Motel on Matlacha Ave. Her home was right next to the motel. Both buildings had 4 feet or more of water intrusion, the doors were blown out by the force of breaking waves coming in from Pine Island Sound. The entire property, including the interior, is covered in ankle deep muck. All contents are destroyed. Worst of all, Janette along with all the residents of the Island are homeless. She will be living with us temporarily, but she needs to be closer to Matlacha in order repair and rebuild.
Any money raised will be used for lodging, food, water, tools, and labor. All tools and resources will be shared with neighbors and
those in need.
