Help save animals in memory of Greg Schmidt

On January 10th, 2022, our father passed away after several weeks fighting COVID-19. In lieu of flowers for the service, the family is asking that people consider a small contribution to this fund set up on his behalf, to be donated entirely to animal welfare charities he would have supported.

Greg was a loving father who cared greatly for his family, including his two cats, Pillsbury and Clint Eastwood. He happily served as the family cat-sitter, taking time to care for his children's cats for various times when they were unable to. He would spend most of his free time making sure they were happy and healthy, and could often be found outside in the yard watching them play, no matter the weather.

Contributions to this fund will be donated to The Anti-Cruelty Society, a Chicago-based animal welfare non-profit (https://anticruelty.org/tributes) The family hopes to purchase a memorial plaque in the Adoption Garden in Greg's honor.
