Anytime Fitness San Leandro COVID Relief Fund

On Wednesday, 11/18/20, we were shut down again by our state and county with no timetable on when we are allowed to re-open. Going through this once back in mid-March and being shut down for 7 months was stressful enough, now for the second time is extremely frustrating!
My wife and I have been the owners of this gym for the past four and a half years and we built it from the ground up. Our business, like many others in the community, is independently owned and operated. My family's and staff's livelihood is completely dependent on our business being successful and sustainable. With COVID, it has definitely challenged us in many ways that we have never experienced before and it has certainly turned our world upside down!
A lot of members reached out and offered to continue to pay their monthly membership fees, which is beyond amazing, but due to the current circumstances and under our franchisor protocols, all memberships have been frozen until we are allowed to re-open again. We are optimistic about retaining our membership base, but know that due to the current crisis, we will continue to lose members as the pandemic lingers on. We built a successful and healthy business before the pandemic but with so much uncertainties ahead, we feel completely exhausted knowing that this second shutdown could potentially put our business's livelihood in serious jeopardy.
We want to continue to do what is right as well as doing our part in being good global citizens, but not being able to operate our business under normal circumstances has hurt us tremendously! With that being said, we are asking family, friends, our community and our members for help if you are able to donate. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated. This relief fund will completely go towards the gym expenses and pandemic created debt in order to help keep us in our community; also we want to make sure our employees will have a job to return to and our members to have a fully functioning gym to enjoy for many years to come!
