Hello, I am Azar Mohammed from Gaza. I am 24 years old. I studied journalism and media in the English language at my university, but the occupation prevented me from feeling the joy of graduation. I dreamed of completing my master’s degree this year, and I wanted to work and help my parents and brothers, but the war destroyed our hopes and dreams and demolished everything.

The onset of the war prevented us from a normal life, but at least our warm home sheltered and protected us, until the neighborhood we lived in was besieged by the army and tanks. My family and I miraculously managed to escape from the house after the hardest 10 days of our lives. Literally, the intense shelling and airstrikes didn't stop during those days.

We traveled to a displacement area and couldn't bring anything except the clothes we were wearing. We spent three nights outdoors in the harsh winter conditions (water pollution, high costs of living, spread of diseases, insects, malnutrition, and crowding) in which I contracted Hepatitis A. It was a struggle to buy medicine and build a small tent that could barely accommodate all of us.

Today, I am reaching out with all the hope remaining in my heart. Please help me raise enough money to save me and my family. We are trapped and threatened every passing second in Gaza. The funds will be used to cover border crossing fees, transportation and other essential expenses associated with ensuring our safety during this difficult time.

I hope to one day complete my master's degree abroad. My university was completely destroyed and now we are all unable to complete our studies, leaving our futures uncertain as the war and genocide continues to this day.
