Update 8/16/3024
It is with deep grief, sorrow and brokenness that we had to annouce the passing of our beloved companion, Benny the Smile Hero. He Crossed the Rainbow Bridge on the morning of August 13, peacefully in his sleep at home where he belongs.
At his final days, we took him to the park where he always wanted and still giving smiles to the little childrens. We will be creating a youtube channel in his memory.
Thank you all for your love and continual support of our financial burdens.
And thank you for praying for us as we mourn the loss of our beloved therapy pet. He is our family,

-----------------------------
Hi, my name is Benny, the Smile Hero. I am a 2 years old Golden Retriever and I am also an emotional support dog and I desperately need your help to save my life. I am only 2.5 years old and have not much enjoyed life yet. Before my illness, I was a happy and healthy boy. I would chase the squirrels, the birds and even my neighbors' cats hoping to play with them, but they keep running away from me. They didn't like the way I smile, I suppose!).
And I especially like to run in the park and play fetch balls or carry a stick in my mouth. But my favorite thing to do is giving someone my quiet smile to lift them up when they are sad or depressed. And especially kids just love me, when they pat me I hear their giggles and big smiles back at me.
But now, I am paralyzed in both of my hind legs, either from jumping over the doggie gates, or when my goofy dog sister jumped on my back causing me to fall or something worse.
The vets found lesions on my hip, a big mass in my belly, and nodules in the lungs. They suspected it could be cancerous, disc problems, or a fungus infection in the body.
I need to go back to the hospital for further testing since they found a big mass in my abdomen and multiple spots in other places. If cancerous, I will need chemotherapy and surgery to remove the mass. If it's a fungus infection inside the body then it will need many months of treatments.
If it's a disc problem, then surgery as soon as possible to avoid further damage.
I truly want to walk again and be healed of all the pains. I am only 2.5 years old and not ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge.
God sent me here to help my human friends and I want to give smiles to those who are sad and depressed.
But I cannot do that when I am in pain and paralyzed with sickness.
My parents are good people, they have been serving the communities and they were on their way to serve at the homeless shelter ( Mission Union Gospel) when they were hit by an 18-wheeler semi-truck. And now they are in desperate need for help and time is short for me. If I don't get urgent help, soon I may drift away.
My parents are heartbroken with tears in their eyes, especially my mom. She's been crying daily since I've become sick. She's praying hard and cannot bear to watch me in pain and crippled. Both my parents had a major car accident, and bills keep piling up and they want to find a cure for me.
They really appreciate the kind souls that are willing to help with my treatments. Without funding, I may not have much time left. I am pleading for all of you, animal lovers or not, to give me another chance in life.
I am still a puppy and hope to have more time on earth to enjoy life and make someone happy.
My dream was to go to the children's Shriner hospitals and the nursing homes to lend them a smile and give a big hug.
I am begging and pleading for your help of any amount you can give and please help share this fundraiser wo my goals can be met urgently.
Thank you so much from my heart and may God bless you 100 folds and I promise to
Give you the biggest smiles when I am healed. Please also pray for me. I love you all for supporting my journey of healing. Be blessed my friends my friends,
