Help save Blaze Walker from slaughter

My name is Melanie Dodd and I am President and founder of Windiger Farms Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation, 501C3. Two OTTBs keep catching my eye at the Stroud Oklahoma kill pen. One is an OTTB by the name of Blaze Walker. Blaze Walker is only 13 years old and found herself in this nightmare position. I am also interested in a brown OTTB with an illegible tattoo. If I am able to rescue her as well, I will see if I can have her DNA tested to verify her identity. She appears to be slightly older than Blaze Walker. Both mares rode well in their demonstration at the kill lot.

This fundraiser appears to be the last hope for these beautiful mares. If I fundraise the full amount, I will bail both.

I don't usually fundraise for the horses I rescue, but my most recent rescue mare, Willow, has an upcoming surgery that may cost over $10,000. With all of this uncertainty, any help is appreciated.

The bail for Blaze Walker is $1200. The bail for the unidentified brown mare is $1000. The transportation quote to get them both here is $2400. If push comes to shove, I may be able to get someone to cover the rescue for me so I can haul the horse or horses myself.
