Help save Carmela Ice Cream

Dear Carmela family -

We are in shock and devastation over the incomprehensible loss in our community that we have called home since 2011.

Our creamery and shop was valiantly saved by our landlord risking his life fighting the fire all night on Tuesday as fires blazed around him.

While we are beyond grateful that we have a shop to return to we continue to be out of power and have lost all of our inventory and our team is now out of work.

When we are able to reopen we will have nothing to sell and we have a lengthy cleanup process ahead of us.

To be honest we don’t know what the future looks like. We are working on ways to utilize our facilities to help the community and to provide food and support beyond ice cream. Please stay tuned on this.

Carmela has always been a business for the community and this has never been more true than now.
