Help Save Chinedum Onyemaechi's Life

Baby Onyemaechi Chinedum Zinachimdi was born on the 24th of April, 2019. He looked healthy and ok until his Mum passed-on on the 3rd of May, 2019 (nine days after his birth). Her death was linked to complications from her caesarean session.

Few months after birth he was diagnosed of Obstructive Jaundice; but due to conditions beyond our control, a surgery was not slated promptly, until his condition deteriorated to Liver cirrhosis.

After we could not get the Medical team to pay attention to Baby Chinedum, we had to seek medical help from Babcock University Teaching Hospital where a procedure was conducted to remove the cyst causing the obstruction. However, this was done a little late due to failure to get the best advice from Lagos State University Teaching Hospital Ikeja (LASUTH).

After his Surgery at Babcock University Teaching Hospital, we had no positive feedback as to his improvement as he began deteriorating even worst from post-surgery symptoms linked to the deteriorating condition of the Liver. Irrespective of his condition, he was discharged while his father was asked to prepare for the worst.

Baby Chinedum has defiled all prediction and is still alive today. He is currently being managed at the GASTRO CLINIC of LAGOS UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL, Idi-Araba, Yaba (LUTH).

Earlier in the year (February to April, 2021) he suffered a Bone fracture which was linked to the Liver condition and also suffers from severe itching of the skin.

Baby Chinedum urgently needs a Liver Transplant to save his life!
