Help SAVE Clover from Euthanasia

Hello everyone! Meet Clover. Clover was brought to the humane society after he was picked up as a stray cat. He is a short haired gray male who is estimated to be 2 years old. Shelter staff noticed some concerning symptoms. Symptoms include straining to urinate, lethargy, and sleeping in the litter box which can be a sign of illness/ distress in cats. Because the shelter cannot afford his medical care, they have scheduled him to be euthanized on Friday December 6th at 8am.
We rescued & brought him to the vet for a diagnosis. They performed a general physical exam and some diagnostic tests. They believe Clover has a partially blocked urethra so they also performed a cystocentesis (a procedure where they poke a needle into his bladder to do a full urinalysis). The staff found an average amount of crystals in his urine. He was also diagnosed with a URI (upper respiratory infection). Our vet recommended a perineal urethrostomy. This procedure removes part of his urethra to widen it and will allow urine to pass through more easily in the future. The surgery will basically reduce future blockages. They also want to start him on a special diet. The goal amount includes his initial appointment, urinalysis, cystocentesis, cost of the perineal urethrostomy, anesthesia, prescription cat food, antibiotics for his URI, and 2 days of post surgery care. He would be staying overnight at the animal hospital. The total vet bill was over 5,000$. We will attempt to cover the cost of everything above 5,000$. Unfortunately if we do not raise enough money we are REQUIRED to bring Clover to the humane society to be euthanized as scheduled. He needs medical care AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO PREVENT FATAL COMPLICATIONS! A blocked urethra can kill cats within days or hours.
