"Help Save Coast Guard Veteran's Sick Puppy"

Please help us cover the costs to save Kira, a 12 week old husky mix puppy tragically diagnosed with the deadly parvo virus. Parvo is a highly contagious, life threatening virus that causes an infectious gastrointestinal illness in puppies and is a death sentence if not caught quickly.

Kira is a rambunctious puppy who was rescued from Georgia after being carelessly abandoned and left to fend for herself near a dangerous highway. Against all odds she was saved and made her way towards Connecticut with TLC Sweet Souls Rescue to be adopted by Ryan a coast guard veteran who retired in 2017 after an accident left him permanently disabled. Ryan has waited so long to find his perfect companion, and when he heard about Kira he knew he was meant to be her dad.

Just 3 days after Kira began settling into her forever home in New Jersey her energetic personality faded and her health began to decline. Kira was then diagnosed with the deadly parvo virus a puppy parent's worst nightmare.

Ryan is beyond devastated and has spent the past 72 hours by her side putting her above all else. Kira was admitted to the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital yesterday morning and is currently receiving the around-the-clock care she desperately needs to save her life.

The vet bills have reached nearly $6500.

The unexpected cost of treating parvo is not something any new puppy owner plans for but Ryan is not giving up on Kira and neither are we.
