Help Save Conan: A Loving Dog's Second Chance

Donation protected
Meet Conan. Conan is a friendly and loved, 8 year-old Lab-Pit mix who currently has the odds stacked against him and needs your help. Conan's life is at serious risk. He has been ordered to pay for a bite accusation, despite his calm demeanor and loving personality. The incident took place a few months ago after the claimant admittedly walked by Conan's home 2-3 times a day while walking to the liquor store in a manner that witnesses say taunted and teased poor Conan. We are not denying that mistakes have been made, however, we do not believe that this mistake should cost Conan his life. Conan has never had any other bite incidents in his 8 years of life and in fact is well loved in the community, not only by his parents but also by everyone that meets him. Until this one incident, and since, Conan has only ever shown a sweet, loving, and friendly demeanor.

Despite exculpatory evidence strongly suggesting that a death sentence is not warranted here, Animal control wants to take Conan's life following this singular incident. What's worse, the City of Burbank introduced false evidence during Conan's parents' administrative hearing, and despite pointing out to the City that they made mistakes with their evidence, they want to kill him anyway. But Conan's parents are not giving up! Conan is a member of their family who very much deserves to live. After being railroaded in an administrative hearing without representation and no way to combat the false evidence, they have reached out to Ryther Law Group, LLP, an animal rights law firm with a plea to help them save Conan's life. Ryther Law Group has agreed to take on Conan's case and appeal in order to save his life. This fight comes at a large expense that Conan's parents cannot afford on their own, but they cannot imagine giving up on their beloved Conan when they know this singular incident does not define him.

Conan was adopted by his family because he was the last puppy in the litter and nobody seemed to want him, and therefore he would be euthanized. Conan's grandma called Conan's dad to come as quick as possible and meet this puppy. Conan's dad came to meet him and there was an immediate bond. Conan ran to his dad and jumped on him, essentially saying "you're my person, we're family now!" and that was all it took. From that very moment Conan was a part of the family and was always treated as such, he eats with his family every day and has his own spot in the house. Conan's grandma came to visit him all the time and bring him treats, until she passed away. Conan's dad says this helps him feel close to his late mother as they both loved Conan the same.

Everyone who meets Conan can't help but love him. Prior to getting Conan, Conan's family kept to themselves and didn't spend much time with their neighbors. After getting Conan, his family states that their friend group has grown immensely, everyone involved being dog owners. They now spend time with their friends, their neighbors, and their dogs. Some neighbors even joke that their dogs will drag them to Conan's yard and won't leave until they're able to play with Conan.

Conan is loved immensely by humans and dogs alike. His family believes he is and loves him as a son. They need all the help they can get to save Conan.

Please consider donating to Conan's family so that they can fight this injustice! All funds raised by this fundraiser will be used to directly help save Conan's life by fighting in a court of law and any additional funds raised beyond what is needed for Conan will be used to help other dogs in this same position (which is sadly all too common.)
