David's Shoe and watch repair is closing it's doors after 42 years of business. It is a family run business that was on lockdown for six months during the height of covid-19. They applied for covid relief grants and were only awarded $1,500, while McDonald's got millions.
When I was ten years old I got my Minnie mouse watch battery replaced by David. Please, if you have a bit extra, consider contributing to the gofundme I created for David and his son
David has had his business for decades, and his dream was to retire and pass the business to his son next year. His shop is in the far West Village and services everyone with a smile, excellent craftsmanship, and great prices. They are getting evicted on June 30th due to being six months behind on the rent that they never caught up on after the pandemic.
In addition to my starting a gofundme for David and his son, anyone who has connections with the media, grant writers, elected officials, or other connections, please consider helping or reaching out to me.
Thank you for reading, and as always, if you are struggling for supplies, food, etc... I have a bit extra for pick up if you're local, for pick up. Feel free to contact me. I have a little bit extra, and people have helped me out when I've been struggling
