Help save Dover Twp! - STOP THE WAREHOUSE!

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Austin Peck and I have been a resident of the beautiful Dover community for my entire life. I am starting this fundraiser in order to hire a CED lawyer to represent the community in this fight against mass industrialization. Funds will also be allocated to produce more petitions, pay document processing fees, and acquire representation from organizations able to help us.

PLEASE help protect this historic community and its green space from global developers!

Hines Global Development is proposing a 1.9 MILLION square foot facility behind the Northern York County Regional Police Dept. (Cross roads Bull Rd and Canal Rd)
This proposed warehouse will have a massive ripple effect that will hurt residents of Dover as well as neighboring townships.
Property values will plummet and homes/businesses along Bull and Canal Roads will be unusable or taken by EMINENT DOMAIN.
The estimated 18-wheeler and truck traffic is 600-750 trucks PER DAY in ONE SINGLE DIRECTION. 1,200 to 1,500 TOAL trucks estimated to be traveling either Bull or Canal Roads to 83 or route 30. They claim trucks will only be using these roads, but also claim to not know who their tenants will be. How does one determine where their traffic will go if they don’t know who the tenant will be? They only have speculation, no real plan. Yet the Dover Twp Planning Commission still pushed this project forward by approving their waivers and making their recommendations to the Township Board of Supervisors.
The developer has NO plans on updating infrastructure to fit the scope of their project. Since Bull and Canal are state roads, PennDOT is left responsible for the infrastructure updates. PennDOT currently has a plan to make the intersection of Bull and Canal into a roundabout, which will likely involve eminent domain being used against our beloved Dotties (formerly Hakes) and neighboring homes and businesses. This roundabout would first be turned into a traffic light as a temporary solution for the developer. This bandaid solution will only worsen the traffic of this intersection, which is listed by PennDot as one of the most congested intersections in the entire state.
Other concerns include environmental impact, as this developer wants to REMOVE AND REROUTE a section of Fox Run. They will be destroying wetland ecosystems in order to construct this project.
This project plans to build 65 FEET HIGH even though it falls within the Hazard Overlay for the nearby Lazy B Airport.
Stormwater management for this particular area has been horrendous, and conditions will only get worse with the runoff from this project.
The effects of this project are almost never ending. Please reach me on Facebook @Austin Peck for more info, questions, comments, or concerns.
Help save our community, history, and local small businesses before we become an industrial cesspool and eminent domain puts residents of our community on the streets!
