Help Dr. Boru's medical treatment in India

Dear family and friends,

I am reaching out to you to ask for your support in a medical emergency involving Dr. Boru Simeon Dube. Dr. Boru is the son of our father Simeon Dube, who is now retired but has served his community with teaching his whole life.

His son, our brother, Dr. Boru is characterized by as being a kind, loving, and dedicated family man who cares a lot about the suffering of his people. He has served his community as a surgeon in Mega Hospital since his graduation and is currently serving medical doctor and surgeon at Yabello Referral Hospital. He has saved so many lives.

One of his close friends told me, I quote, “Boru could have easily found employment in big cities with big bucks after his graduation, but he said I would rather serve my community in a rural marginalized Mega town with a population of 9,370 people”. His friend added by saying, “many of his peers are busy with Facebook, and social media politicking to advance the cause of their people, however, he often said, I help by people with my profession by saving lives”.

Dr. Boru is diagnosed with kidney failure (both) and he needs kidney transplants. His immediate family and close have already found a treatment plan in India that would cost 3 million Ethiopian birr. So far half of this medical cost has been raised, and only half (i.e., ETB 1.5 million is still needed), which this amounts to USD 15,000.

Dr. Boru is a young medical doctor in his early 30s, he should not die. He has three young children and a wife for whom he is the sole provider and a single thread of hope. If only 100 people raise $150 each, his medical expenses would be covered and we would be able to save Dr. Boru’s life, a father, and a husband. We are in a place where anything we chip in could mean a life for Dr. Boru and his family. Please give anything you can; $25, $50 or $100 or whatever you can afford to give.

Considering the shortage of hard currency in Ethiopia, I am asked transfer the fund in to my account to wire it directly to India once Dr. Boru gets there for his treatment. I assure you 100% of the fund from this fundraising will go to Dr. Boru's medical treatment in India.
