Help Save Ember: Urgent Medical Support Needed
Donation protected
This poor baby was found as a stray 5 weeks ago in San Tan Valley in Arizona. Good Samaritans notified HARTT Volunteers. We were able to humanely trap her and I offered to keep her safe until rescue placement was found. She was doing great…estimated to be no more than 2 years old…Mastiff Mix…great with other dogs and older children. I got her vaccinated, she tested negative for tick fever, negative for heart worm and negative for parasites. Her bloodwork looked good. So we started networking her to rescues. 1 week ago, Ember started showing signs of Lethargy, coughing, eye discharge and she stopped eating.
She is now currently hospitalized. Her fever was over 106 yesterday.
Yesterday, Ember stopped eating. X-rays show what looks like fluid in her lungs. She is in the hospital on IV fluids, IV antibiotics, anti-fungal meds and nebulizer treatments.
It is suspected she has severe Valley Fever (Valley Fever bloodwork is pending).
I can’t let her die but I also cannot afford this unexpected medical cost (especially since my personal dog Lola just had unexpected surgery for a cancerous tumor).
Any donation towards Ember’s medical expenses is much appreciated. I can also give the vet hospital information to those that feel more comfortable donating directly to the hospital for her care!
This is not how her story will end..she deserves better.
Please help save her.
