Donation protected
Hello, My name is Kealey - director and instructor at Fitcamp, a community-based fitness and wellbeing studio in Whitefield.
Like many other business, big and small, it has been a challenge financially to recover form the impacts of Covid-19. We are now facing financial difficulties and need your support to raise £10,000 to save our community studio from closing.
About us
A supportive, inclusive, friendly, non- judgemental environment with a great atmosphere, amazing workouts, positive energy and lots of fun, fun, fun!
Shortlisted in the National Fitness Awards 2022 'Women's only gym of the year' category for Women Gym of the year.
At the studio we deliver women’s only fitness, health and wellbeing classes and recently expanded in offering men's only training too.
Fitcamp has been a vital transformative space supporting both mental and physical health for the community.
What our members say:
"Fitcamp Women has been my saviour. A few years back I came out of a long term relationship and didn’t know which way to turn as this had a massive effect on my mental health. As I knew Kealey previously she invited me to come along to a few classes to see what I thought. It was the best thing I ever did. Fitcamp has simply been my focus and strength to carry on, it’s a part of my life." Kerry
"When Fitcamp was introduced by Kealey and Leanne, I knew my life would change for the better. For what it stood for and the management behind it, this for me was a long time coming! I have found that my health, mental health and confidence have improved so much which has made me feel so much better in myself." Lesley
"I have been a member at Fitcamp Women since March 21. I honestly didn't think I was going to enjoy the classes as much as I do. I LOVE going to the studio and working out." Dawn
"Fitcamp Women changed my life for the better, as a woman in my 50's I feel I'm fitter than I've ever been in my adult life" Ann
"Fitcamp Women is a warm welcoming women only gym. I love training there. Kealey and all the women inspire me to push myself." Francine
Our commitment to charity
All our members and staff are dedicated to supporting charities close to their heart. Since opening the Fitcamp family have raised:
- £1,598 for Child Autism UK (studio charity bouncathon)
- £1,087 for Young Minds Trust (Cala, instructor competed in White Collar Fighter twice)
- £1,274 for Caring Matters Now (Mickey, member competed in White Collar Fighter)
- £1,400 for The Prosper Mental Health Fund (Kealey, director competed in White Collar Fighter)
- £908 for Endometriosis UK (Vicky, member competed in White Collar Fighter)
- £900 for National Autistic Society (Abbey, instructor competed in White Collar Fighter)
- £1,330 for Bury Hospice (Team Fitcamp - Dragon boat race at Elton Reservoir)
Our commitment to the community
We are dedicated to help our members reach their goals. Aaron (PT) and I have given up our time freely to train 7 of our members for White Collar Fighter. Training which would have cost over £3,500.
How your donations will help Fitcamp
To overcome these challenges and secure Fitcamp's future, we have launched a campaign to raise £10,000.
Your donations will be used to:
Keep our studio open
We need donations to enable us to stay open and pay for the backlog of running costs. Currently, all income generated from membership fees are directly used to pay overheads and outstanding payments impacted by Covid-19.
Studio refurb
Any additional funds we receive we will reinvest back in the studio, such as general maintenance /wear and tear as well as upgrading equipment.
Expanding fitness events
The team and I are always looking at ways to support the community and offer better ways to support people on both their mental and physical wellbeing. Any surplus funds will be used to develop and deliver local fitness events.
How you can help
- Donate what you can - every penny will help keep our studio open
- Share this page to friends, family, businesses
