Genesee Bakery and Deli has been a community staple for decades. It's always been there for our neighbors' birthdays and weddings, baptisms and funerals, office parties and personal rewards for a good day of hard work. We've been there through recessions, a fire, and all sorts of trials before.

But now our existence is on the line.

Between the effects of Covid and state and federal restrictions, the construction on Mt. Hope Avenue cutting off access to our store, and the coming-due of multiple small business loans, things have become dire.

While we wait, as patiently as possible, to hear about possible grants from the government, we cannot wait indefinitely. Bills are coming due and we have no way to pay them without customers.
