Help Save Jase Young

LATEST UPDATE;

Hi all,

Jase has asked me to express how blown away he is with the generosity of you all.
It has literally been a life saver.
The medical costs are Insane and are ongoing - medication, rehabilitation, speech pathology etc. He currently has close to 10 specialist looking after him due to his case being so complex.
Em has not been able to return to work as she has been caring for Jase and looking after their 3 young children.

Jase still has a long way and his path is very rocky. He has had a few bad infections, has been in and out of hospital and the trackie is very uncomfortable. Having an open airway is extremely challenging and life altering, not just for Jase but for the whole family. At this stage it is permanent as his airway continues to collapse without it.

Unfortunately on top of all this Jase received another blow with the devastating news that his original brain tumour has grown back and at a significant rate, meaning he will now have to have a very specific and specialised radiation surgery. Obviously this is not the news anyone wanted to hear.
This surgery is extremely expensive and is not coved by Medicare or private health so please know the money that you all so generously donated will go towards this.
We are so lucky to have all you wonderful people or guardian angels as Jase calls you.

Jase and Em have had to make the brave decision to sell their much loved family home to take the pressure off and so they are able to fund Jase’s recovery.

So, with all that from the very depths of the bottom of our hearts we thank you. You truly don’t know how much this has helped our family in what has been the most stressful, traumatic and hardest experience of our lives.

Please pray, hope and wish with us that this is the last bump in Jase’s journey and that he will get through this.

Thank you ♥️

UPDATE;
Hi all,

Just thought I’d jump on and give u all an update on Jase as of right now - things change rapidly and It’s been very hectic. We are doing the best we can to come to terms with things as a family and out of respect for Jase we are mindful in how much we share. Thank you for your respect in this.

Jase had a breathing tube, a tracheostomy inserted to stabilise his breathing just over a week ago.
As you can imagine, this is challenging and very confronting for him.
Unfortunately this will be permanent at this stage, as it’s been sewn in due to a fair amount of nerve damage.

Things somewhat started to improve, he wasn’t fighting for every breath anymore and got some relief, however due to his fragile state he has developed an infection and is not doing so well, it seems to have gotten ahold of him & he has gone backwards.

Jase is a fighter though and is focused on adjusting to his new life, his recovery, rehab (which will be extensive) and most importantly getting home to his family, where he can be a husband and Dad again, however when this will be, we do not know as Jase’s body is now very deconditioned and his state changes hour to hour.

We as a family have all been traumatised.

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers and thank you for your generosity towards Jase & Emma, we truly appreciate those who have contributed and shared. It will help so much.
He still has a long way to go & we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for doing what you can for him and his family during this awful time. ♥️

xx

Please help me, help my brother.

Our hearts are breaking and we are running out of time.

Jase is the most amazing Dad to 3 beautiful children, GG, Lenny & Tully and an incredible husband to Emma. He is a loving son, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, mate and a brother, my only brother.

As most of you know our world was turned upside down when Jase was diagnosed with a brain tumour 6 years ago. He has battled along as best he can & fought hard but has faced many health issues along the way. His journey has been big, scary confronting and challenging.

For the past 4 weeks he has been in ICU with a collapsed airway and we are unfortunately finding it hard to find someone to treat him as his case is rare & complicated.
We are in talks with specialists worldwide but are hoping someone in Australia will be able to take him on. If not we will need to fly him overseas to get the treatment he needs to survive.

Jase & Emma haven’t ever asked for help but desperate times call for desperate measures and they need all the help they can get.

Emma is a full time carer for their 3 young children and Jase & as you can imagine the financial burden of not being able to work and then all Jason’s medical bills on their family is absolutely debilitating.

I can see he hasn’t got much fight left in him but I know he can get through this…..with the right team of doctors around him.

I have to believe and I have to hope because if I don’t have that then I won’t have him.

Please help me, help him. ♥️
