Help Save Josh's Family Home

As many of you may know my partner Josh’s mom passed away in February after dealing with a myriad of chronic health issues for many years.

Josh’s family moved to Australia in 2010 (their dad is Australian). Since then they have been renting Josh’s childhood home to family friends up in Minnesota.

This house was always intended by their mom to be a legacy for them and their brother. The rent had been going towards the remaining mortgage payments.

Because of their mom’s death, the bank account this had gone through was closed and a new one had to be opened under family members who are still living. This created a bit of a lapse between mortgage payments. Additionally, the government took back some of the social security money their mom had been getting, as the family will receive a smaller payment now that she is deceased.

Due to this, the mortgage payment is about $1000 behind.

Not only that but the mortgage company just found out that Josh’s mom has passed, and since there is unpaid mortgage the house might have to go to probate court.

In order to prevent this, I have set up this fundraiser to raise money for the missed mortgage payment.
