Help Kekoa Recover

Donation protected

Sometimes life isn’t fair, as we all know, and today it was especially unfair to one of our clients.

Our client was walking his three leashed dogs today, when an unleashed/stray pitbull approached and attacked one of his dogs. While the owner was checking his first dog for injuries , the stray dog attacked his second dog Kekoa, picking him up and shaking him violently. (Thankfully, the first dog that was attacked did not sustain life threatening injuries.)

His owner brought Kekoa directly to our clinic in Redmond. During the attack his abdominal wall was punctured, leaving his organs exposed and causing tremendous pain and shock. Kekoa was taken to surgery where his wounds were repaired.

Our clinic was able to repair the immediate damage, but Kekoa still has a long roadahead of him. He will need 24 hour care as he recovers from the invasive surgery.

24 hour care is costly, and the owner’s funds are limited. Please consider donatingto give him his best chance at recovery. It is heart wrenching as a pet owner to want to give your dog it’s best chance at recovery, and being unable to afford the costly services, but we as a community of pet owners can help. All funds will go directly toward Kekoa’s hospital fees.
