HELP SAVE LA POUBELLE BISTRO
Dear Friends,
Like so many small businesses, La Poubelle is facing the sad reality that within the next few weeks we may have to close forever.
WE ARE HUMBLY ASKING FOR YOUR SUPPORT TO PREVENT LA POUBELLE FROM PERMANENTLY CLOSING.
La Poubelle has been a neighborhood staple in Hollywood for over five decades.
My mother, Jacquie, opened La Poubelle to fulfill a childhood dream of owning a crêperie in America. Since 1969, La Poubelle has been an active member of this community. For many of you, we are your second home. We gather at
La Poubelle to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, new jobs. La Poubelle is where you meet old friends, and make new ones. We’ve loved watching you and yours grow through the years. You are our family and we’ve become part of yours.
We've always been able to adapt to changing and challenging times. But this time is different.
The current circumstances have caused thousands of small business to close permanently and put others on the brink of closure. I am in an impossible position.
We received PPP in July, a modest SBA loan (it will need to be repaid) and were able to reopen for outside dining for a short time until we had to close down AGAIN a month ago (Nov 21).
Takeout/delivery is not a sustainable solution for us. Our employees are jobless once again with great uncertainty; our bills are mounting and the hole in my heart is growing.
We are humbly asking for your assistance with the hope to be able to cover operating expenses until there is relief from the government and/or changes to the current environment.
Your donation would assist us with:
Employee fund
Insurance (cannot defer)
Building mortgage (cannot defer)
Licenses (City, Health, ABC, State)
Loan Repayments
This is a first for me. I’ve never been in a position where I’ve had to ask from the community that has given me so much. We’ve been here for five decades - PLEASE help us to stay in business.
With deep appreciation,
Francoise Koster, owner
