I am reaching out with a heavy heart and a desperate plea to help my beloved sister, Ladan, in her fight against stage IV melanoma. She is just 36 years old—a beautiful person inside and out, with a heart full of kindness. Even in her most painful days, she worries more about others than herself. She is so deeply loved that friends from all over the world—Canada, Europe, and beyond—have flown in just to be by her side. She has always been a fighter. She poured her heart into her work, overcoming every challenge that life threw at her. Now was supposed to be the time for her to enjoy the life she worked so hard to build.

But cancer has taken that away.

For over a year, Ladan has been receiving treatment at MD Anderson but instead of shrinking, the tumors have grown more aggressively. Her doctors have now told us there are no more options left. They suggested we bring her home to be comfortable in her final days.

But we refuse to give up on her.
