On March 1, 1990 Metro Gymnastics Center opened its door and a dream was brought to life.
Over 30 years of reaching out to the community and helping 10’s of thousands of children by providing a positive, safe learning environment and contributing to their social, physiological and physical development.
Over 30 years of love, teaching, and community. And sadly, this may be the end.
COVID 19 has created uncertainty and instability in so many ways for the majority of us, especially the children! These gymnasts and dancers NEED a place to come back to. A home, a place where they are safe and happy. They need their coaches to greet them when they arrive, they need the goals and rewards that come with training, learning and growing. And not only do these current gymnasts and dancers need Metro, but Metro needs all the future gymnasts and dancers that will hopefully come in the future!
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Due to COVID 19, owner David Klein may have to close Metro’s doors permanently. Over the past 8 months he has had to lay off over 30 employees with families of their own and who have been a part of our lives for years.
He has used every ounce of savings, loans and grants that have been available. But if we can’t get help from the community we have served for years, everything David has worked for and dedicated his life to will be gone. He needs funds to help pay the lease and other fixed expenses that are still current.
With no real end in sight for the lock down of the gymnastics industry, we are attempting to keep Metro alive for when there is an opportunity to re-open. If Metro has ever been a part of you or your families lives, or you hope to enroll your kids into a place that cares so much about children and their health and wellbeing, PLEASE consider donating what you can!
