Help Save Mike the K9 Malinois

Mike's a 4-year-old Belgium Malinois. He's a multitask trained K9 that has a high work drive that doesn't stop until the task is completed. He has touched a lot of life's and continues to bring happiness and joy to whoever is around him.

Roughly 4 months ago, Mike started having medical issues, mainly with eating and being able to hold any food. Yet this didn't slow him down, he continued to work and push through. After waiting for an available appointment, he was finally seen by a specialist. They figured it to be a small infection, which has been normal for Mike to get. So, they prescribed him some medication and that his diet was to change. Since his first visit, it's been a new medication and new diet almost every week trying to chase down a cure. After 3 months of trying to figure out the issues, the veterinary finally referred Mike to an ultrasound specialist. When the ultrasound was conducted, they found an inflammation in his lower intestines and suggest that this was the cause of his medical condition. Since the ultrasound, Mike has not been able to eat much or retain any food and continues to lose weight. And if you knew Mike, food is the happiest thing for him to do. Mike is now going in for a micro biopsy to get cell samples in order to see what is happening with him.

Mike's not losing his drive, but this is taking a toll on him. This fight that he has been enduring the last 4 months has been so difficult to watch, but we are so hopeful that there is light at the end of this all. We are asking for any help towards keeping this amazing boy around. He is barely into his life cycle, and with your support we can save him.
