Help Save my Beautiful Wife

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Thomas Hannah. My wife is Cassandra Hannah. She has been ICU (intensive care unit) for about 10 days fighting for her life. She acquired the Valley Fever fungus. The doctors are saying this is one of (if not the worst) case of valley fever they have ever seen. It began with respiratory infection that became pneumonia. Shortly, thereafter, she reported paralysis starting to happen in her throat and face. After several days of paralysis spreading throughout her body, the doctors diagnosed meningitis. The valley fever fungus caused infection of cerebral spinal fluid affecting her brain and nervous system. As a further complication, the neurologist told me yesterday 1/21/24 that protein deposits have created blockage in her spine. This may be the reason for paralysis. All she is able to move now is her neck. She has remained responsive showing that she can think clearly and answer yes or no questions. But, she has grown even weaker in the last 48 hours. It is getting harder for her to move her head as yes or no. I have been told that these protein deposits will probably require surgery to remove. She will need to be transported to another healthcare center for this surgery. We do not yet know where this will be. If there is any good news, she has overcome pneumonia it appears. And the neurologist told me yesterday that the meningitis has disappeared from her brain and spinal cord, but it is still in her neck. The neurologist further said that the meningitis in her neck might explain the widespread paralysis. So, all I know now is two plausible explanations for the paralysis and that surgery is a very real possibility to address and remove the protein deposits. I have been with her almost night and day over the past 10 days. She is the love of my life. She has given me everything a husband could ever dream of. For those of you who know her, you understand what a beautiful loving and caring person she always is. Please help us take financial burden off our plate right now while she fights for survival and recovery. The money we raise will be used to pay our immediate bills in the coming 4-6 weeks or so. Disability pay will not kick in fast enough to help. Thank you in advance for your love and support. We both love you.

Update 1-26-24
My wife's condition has progressed to total paralysis except her eyes and ears. Doctors at Banner Health (Hospital) are uncertain about the cause(s) of her paralysis. They think it is a rare condition perhaps some kind of auto immune disorder. Doctors are, therefore, attempting to get her transferred to the Mayo Clinic where experts can give my wife a fighting chance for recovery. The lead doctor has, however, expressed caution regarding the Mayo Clinic's willingness to admit my wife. Nonetheless, I am hopeful that the Mayo Clinic will act according to their longstanding motto, mission statement, and vision statement. The Mayo brother's and the institution's motto states that - "the needs of the patient come first." The Mayo Clinic's mission statement is "inspiring hope and promoting health through integrated clinical practice, education, and research." Their vision statement is "transforming medicine to connect and cure as the global authority in the care of serious and complex disease." My wife fits all of these statements perfectly. I am seeking public support aimed at encouraging the Mayo Clinic to admit my wife for diagnosis and treatment immediately.
