In Memory of Mac

As pet owners, you live in constant fear of the worst happening. For us, last night - the worst happened. Our beloved cat, Mac fell from our 6 story window. He survived the fall but is now fighting for his life. We were grateful to have friends with a car who rushed him to Blue Pearl Emergency Veterinary Hospital. He's in a great deal of pain as he can not move due to his pelvic fractures and open wound on his left leg. They have him on pain medication and prepping for surgery.

We adopted Mac and his brother Harvey from Animal Haven in 2012 and from that moment they've brought joy to our lives. They've been with us as we moved to 3 different homes (loudly meowing the entire time) and eased us through many of life's challenges. Mac has always been a curious kitty. He bosses his brother around and leads the way on all adventures. He understands when we're in pain and won't leave our side as we recover from any illness or sadness. He's saved us in more ways than you can know. Now it's our turn to save him, but we need your help to do so.

Whether his doctors are able to save him or not, we are facing incredible financial hardship. The initial estimates of his life saving treatment are $13,000 (ICU, hospital overnights, bloodwork, x rays, orthopedic surgery w/ screws, post op.) While we know that everyone is enduring financial difficulties in this pandemic, we can't do this alone and are asking for your generosity to help save our pet's life.
