HELP SAVE MY GRANDMA'S LOCAL SHOP IN SAN FRANCISCO

SAN FRANCISCO HIDDEN GEM ❤️

Hi friends!

For anyone who lives or visits San Francisco, or knows of anyone in SF - This is my Grandma. She started this Asian variety store (equivalent to a Daiso) 28+ years ago and raised a family of 21 people under a single home. We've had generations of our family grow up in this store and celebrated all of our childhood birthdays on little boxes there. Since COVID, my grandma has downsized her family owned business from 3 locations to now 1 location that is half the size of a single one. But she's still trying her best to go strong!

She is over 80+ years old and runs the shop herself out of pure love and is the hardest working person I know.She mentioned that new larger shops have opened up and have made it more difficult for her smaller shop to stay open. She mentioned to me that if business continues as is, she will have to close down after this year. If you guys are ever in the Richmond District of SF and need - plates, cookware, bowls, chopsticks, slippers, hair clips, decorations, or little SF gifts, this is your one stop shop!

The shop is called Gold Star Discount Store on 8th and Clement right next to the well known Dim Sum shop. I've had many of you ask me if she has an online website, unfortunately she is just a small locally owned business without any online presence. Many of you suggested I create a donation link so here it is!
