Help Save Nala - Urgent Vet Care Needed

Hi everyone,

I never thought I’d be in this position, but I’m reaching out for help because our beloved cat Nala is seriously ill, and I can’t afford the vet care she desperately needs. She has developed jaundice, a sign of liver failure or another life threatening condition. Without treatment she may not survive.

I’ve had Nala since I was 16. A friend in college was selling kittens for £20, and I couldn’t leave without taking one home. I carried her across the city, zipped up in my hoodie. When I got home, my mum answered the door, and I said, “Don’t be mad” right as Nala peeked her little head out from my collar. From that moment, she been a huge part of our family. She has been by my side through some of the hardest times of my life! Now, at 8 years old, she’s not just my cat, she’s my baby, my comfort, and my best friend. My toddlers adore her, and she adores them, always curling up on top of us at night as if she’s keeping us safe. The thought of losing her is unbearable. She still has so much love to give, so much life left to live and I want to be able to give her the chance to fight.

I’ve tried every option available to me, but my local PDSA is full and unable to take on new patients, and I simply don’t have the funds to take her to a private vet. Watching her decline knowing there’s nothing I can do, is absolutely heartbreaking. She’s not just a pet, she’s my furry companion. She means so much to us and losing her would tear a large cat shaped hole in our hearts.
