Help Organic Cat Cafe & Listening Lounge relocate

Organic Cat Café & Music Lounge (OCC) needs your help! To our shocking surprise, we recently discovered that the lease at our current location will not be renewed, leaving us with only 5 weeks to find the purrfect location for our new cat paradise. We were hoping on a month-to-month lease extension, so we could have enough time to find a unique and fitting home for all our needs. However, this was not an option so we do not have much time left! We have been diligently working to find a new and better location so that we can take the Organic Cat Café & Music Lounge to the next level!
First a little about us:
We are a creative healing cat sanctuary on a mission to expand consciousness and help unite the Greenville and global community through the experience of art, music and CATS! We are currently home to 23 resident cats, who were rescued with the help of local non-profit rescue organizations and provide a space to help adoptable cats find their forever homes. We promote healthy and sustainable living, so we serve only organic and vegetarian/vegan foods, snacks, and beverages.
We are a therapeutic cultural center that stimulates the Greenville community using creativity and art. OCC plays and hosts forward thinking electronic music events to cultivate Greenville’s scene of deep and intellectual electronic music. We partner with many local artists to offer painting, pottery, and jewelry making classes as well as healing arts such as yoga and meditation classes, massages, sound healing and of course the cats themselves! Cats are much more than cute companions and can help relieve stress, improve people’s social, emotional and cognitive functioning. Today they are used for animal-assisted therapies (ATT) and can reduce depression, anxiety, and other symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorders. Especially for children, animals seem non-judgmental and are perceived as comforting, raising the child's self-esteem and making it easier for the child to express themselves.
Our Purpose:
Through the education of cats, health, art, and sound, we seek to raise consciousness and help unite the global community.
Our Vision:
Provide a visionary and healing space for cat lovers and creative minds; serving, as a platform for the exchange of culture.
Our Values:
Conservation of animal rights / Environmental sustainability / Health consciousness / Introspection
Without knowing where the journey will take us, we have to plan for the worst and prepare to re-open OCC as fast as possible. We are looking to raise at least $100,000 during this big transition to cover costs for rent deposits, city permits and licenses, outdoor signs, renovation including paint, furniture, equipment, recruiting and training of new team members, temporary sales shortfalls due to possible transition closure, all while continuing to take care of the 23 cats who live here. We need your help to overcome this challenge and give Greenville the Cat Café it deserves!
Thanks to everyone who took the time to read our campaign and supports our vision, every dollar counts! If you donate $50 or more, we would like to thank you with a 2-month MEOW Pass (grants you free admission to cat paradise for 2 months) which can be used as soon as we are back and open =^.^=
