Save the Oldest Hobby Shop in Oregon

Sadly, like many other small businesses in Portland, we were forced to close in March due to the spread of corona virus. During our closure we have had many loyal exisitng customers & also new customers place orders online with us, but it will likely not be enough for us to be able to catch up with overdue expenses & sustain us in the long term. Local grants have fallen through & we are still waiting on new funds to become available through the federal EIDL program.
So we are asking for help to keep the oldest hobby shop in Oregon open. Hobbies Unlimited has gone through many owners and names since the mid 1950s but its iconic red & white facade has not changed much. While more & more old standing businesses in Portland close & are bulldozed & replaced with modern apartment buildings, Hobbies Unlimited has stood the test of time, in fact it is the 2nd oldest building still standing on N Interstate Ave.
Nothing warms our heart more than to have grandparents bring their grandchildren in & tell stories about how they came in as children.
Please help us keep the legend alive for current & future generations.
