Help save O'Stumpy

Hi my name is Kelsey and this is our cat O’Stumpy. Our first cat and oldest cat out of 3. He’s a Mane Coon mixed breed. His 6th birthday is coming up in March. He’s the sweetest and smartest cat you’ll ever come across with a very unique personality. :) Unfortunately, our sweet fur baby might not make it to his birthday. We’ve recently discovered he had an Obstruction in his Urethra which is common amongst male cats. Especially ones who eat dry food. (In simpler terms he’s blocked from peeing which also causes him to pee blood when he does manage to pee, vomiting, not eating or drinking and disassociating from our other kitties.) This was an unexpected expense for my grandmother and I. We’ve pooled together as much money as we could including (care credit amongst financial assistance) and we’ve spent close to $4,000. O’stumpy has had lab work, X-rays, a urinalysis, 2 hospital visits one including a lengthy stay at Angel Memorial and 2 catheters put in. (The second one he took out on his own). He was able to make a bladder movement so we were able to take him home. We are trying our best to keep O’Stumpy comfortable with close monitoring and a lot of meds including antibiotics and many different pain meds because he is in a lot of pain. :( The vets have informed us if O’Stumpy becomes Obstructed again which is highly likely he will need a PU surgery (short for Perineal Urethrostomy…which basically will open up the urethra wider so he can pee) and without it, we will have to put him down. We are financially spent and have exhausted all other options. So we are now reaching out and asking for help. Any and all donations through this GoFundMe will go to O’Stumpys PU surgery. Most people would’ve gave up on their cat by now. He’s not just a cat to us but he’s family. He’s one of our best friends and he deserves a fair shot at living a full life. He has no voice and I morally cannot just write him off and put him down. The best birthday present we could all give him is a chance at life. Help him make it to his 6th birthday.
