help save our best girl mara♥️

Hi, my name is hannah, me and my family are fundraising to help with the expenses to cover the extensive treatment for our dog mara.

Mara is just 6 years old and more than just our dog. She is our family member, our baby, our world. If you know mara you know she is the happiest, most gentle, loving, wild girl ever with the funniest goofy personality. She loves her walks and LOVES the water and to swim. She loves her family and loves to snuggle (if you know you know). Everyone loves mara, and i cannot even begin to explain the amount of joy she brings us and to everyone she meets.

Unfortunately, our girl has been diagnosed with severe anemia where her body is attacking and killing her red blood cells. Her blood level was at only 8% of the blood she is normally supposed to have when we brought her in. Truly nobody knows how she even was alive at this point, and yet her tail was still wagging. Our girl is fighting, and doesn’t want to die yet she’s not ready, nor are we ready to lose her.

With that being said, this rare condition requires extensive treatments such as blood transfusions that she is responding amazingly to already. We have been told that after these treatments her body will become regenerative once again and maintained through medication once she can regenerate once again. As of right now she she unable to regenerate her own red blood cells without the boost from these transfusions.

As you can imagine this comes at a very costly expense but we are trying to do everything we possibly can for our girl so she can recover and live the full active, healthy life she deserves.
