Help save our boy Gaz

Our fav boy Gaz has been struck with a rare illness.

Any little donation would be much appreciated, anything over will be donated vetonary special services to help someone else that can’t afford to save their beloved best friend.

He has had to have multiple major operations, and is currently in intensive care.

He became really bloated (turns out it was GDV) Sunday night and was taken to the emergency vets. They placed a tube down his throat to release the gas but after they did this, he went into shock. They did emergency surgery and ended up removing his spleen as it was wrapped around his stomach (which was black in some spots).

His vitals were bad and he ended up getting transferred to Varsity Specialty Services. He was not in a good way at all, he had to have multiple Plasma transfusions as he was not clotting. He stabilised slightly yesterday but then had a seizure last night, deteriorated rapidly and to have another red blood transfusion.

Today he had a minor surgery to put a feeding tube in his neck as he desperately needs protein to help with the swelling and inflammation in his stomach. They also did a CT scan while he was under… He came out of this ok.

The CT scan has shown no significant abnormalities so it’s all up to him now to recover.

Today he has taken a turn for the worse, back in for emergency surgery again.

Gaz is more than one persons best friend, he is to young and has to many good years left to being happiness and love to his owners and all the people he helps as a serving therapy dog.
