Help Save Our Chinchilla's Life

Hi everyone. My 4 month old chinchilla has an abscess that has to be removed. This abscess is an infection that was caused by an unknown reason. I wish money was not an issue in this situation but this will be his second abscess removal. The first one was removed 3 weeks ago and the doctor did not notice this one. I pointed it out when they took out his stitches a week ago and they brushed it off as swelling.

I am now seeing a new vet and the surgery plus aftercare medicine will run me around $2000. ANYTHING will help. I am newly married and his first surgery already put my husband and I in a rough situation. His first removal was $1100 but I don’t feel comfortable going back to that doctor for the lack of empathy towards my concerns. If it comes down to it, I will rehome him to someone who can afford this second surgery but I am in love with him and we have a very close bond. I would be heartbroken to lose him. Thank you guys ❤️
