Help Save Our Dog’s Life – Urgent IMT Treatment Needed
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
We’re raising funds for our beloved dog, Bella, who is in urgent need of a life-saving blood transfusion after a long and brave battle with Immune-Mediated Thrombocytopenia (IMT) — a serious autoimmune condition where the body destroys its own platelets, leaving her at risk of severe internal bleeding.
Bella has been on daily steroids for over two years, fighting this condition with incredible strength. But recently, after catching dog flu, her body has become too weak to cope. She’s now refusing food, struggling with serious side effects from the steroids, and barely able to take her medication.
Our vets have told us that a blood transfusion is urgently needed to stabilise her, give her body the support it desperately needs, and hopefully get her eating and responding to treatment again. Without this, her condition could rapidly deteriorate, and she may not be strong enough to continue fighting.
Unfortunately, the costs of this emergency care are significant. We’ve been quoted around £8,000, and while insurance may cover up to £3,000, we are still facing an estimated shortfall of £5,000 — which is why we are reaching out for help.
If you’re able to contribute in any way, no matter how small, we would be endlessly grateful. All funds raised will go directly toward Bella’s transfusion, hospital care, and follow-up treatment. If you’re not in a position to donate, simply sharing this page would still make a huge difference.
❤️ Any funds left over after Bella’s treatment will be donated to the Hull PDSA Pet Hospital, who have done everything they can to help her so far and continue to provide incredible care with compassion and love.
She’s part of our family, our daily joy, and we just want to give her the best fighting chance to recover and get back to the happy, loving dog we know.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting — your kindness means more than words can say.
With love and hope,
