HELP SAVE OUR FISH & WILDLIFE in TAMPA
These devastating images are taken in Saint Petersburg FL. I visited there to take a look at this ongoing tragedy, the red tide. I witnessed something I never wish I saw... dead redfish, snook, trout, grouper, tarpon, turtles, and even a juvenile manatee! You name it, it was floating. This is a overgrowth of Karenia brevis, rust-colored algae that secretes a deadly toxin. This happens typically in the summer here in Tampa but over the last years its been progressively becoming worse with the lack of knowledge behind it, as well as the lack of care by the higher up. This clearly needs to change and the only way to do it is become more powerful TOGETHER, spread the word, spread the youtube video, donate, whatever you can do to help! This needs to change, now let's do this together!
Want to join me in making a difference! I'm raising money to benefit Captains for Clean Water inc., and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
More information about Captains for Clean Water inc.: Captains for Clean Water is a grassroots nonprofit organization advocating for the elimination of harmful, large-scale Lake Okeechobee discharges into the Caloosahatchee and St. Lucie River Estuaries by restoring the natural flow of Lake Okeechobee water south into the Everglades and Florida Bay. Restoring the natural southern flow of Lake Okeechobee water is essential to the survival of our estuaries, the health of the Everglades, and the long-term viability of South Florida's largest drinking water source. The problem is known. The solution is known. The funding is available through Amendment 1. All that's missing is the political will to make it happen.
