Help save our Renai

Hi everyone,

On the 9/12/2021 we received devastating news that our beautiful daughter had a tumour in her brain. This come as a complete surprise to us all, considering we thought she just had a sickness bug. From that moment our lives changed in an instant, we were transferred to Addenbrookes hospital were we discussed options for treatments and although overwhelmed with fear, we felt hopeful at this point. However a day later we were given more devastating news that our daughters health was declining and very fast. Time was not on our hands therefore, the next morning Renai underwent emergency brain surgery in order to save her life!

Finally, after days of trauma seeing our daughter in so much pain, experiencing her first seizures we were able to breath - knowing that the operation was a success with 90% being taken out.

The next few days our brave girl recovered from surgery and we felt like we had our girl back, she wasn’t in any pain, she was starting physio therapy - she was smiling, we got to hear her laugh again. Life felt so hopeful and wholesome!

Then on the 22/12/2021 we received the results back and our world came crashing down. We were informed that she has Grade 4 diffuse midline giloma and that there is no cure and our girl would be spending her last Christmas with us, that she will only have a life expectancy of 8-11 months and that’s with Radiotherapy which only helps to pro-long her life.

Renai has always been the centre of our worlds, our strength our LIFE. She is our only child and our worlds are completely broken - but we MUST NOT GIVE UP.
