Help Save Our Super Hero
Donation protected
Bob Has been my super hero since I was 5 years old. He stepped into my world, and made everything better!!! He and my mother married in 1985, just a few months after meeting. Before too long we were expecting my sister Grace to complete our family in 1987, and just a few short weeks before her arrival Bob adopted me.
My dad hasn't just been my dad or my hero, he's my hockey buddy, he loves the NY Rangers!!! We also attend whatever local hockey we can, ice is a passion we share. We play Jeopardy as if we are actually on the show, you never know! He loves to shoot photography another love he shares with my sister and I. He loves teasing my mom, making us laugh, and his pride and joy, his granddaughter Jordan Grace. They are two peas in a pod and adore each other!
Just this past Winter Bob wasn't feeling well, being the tough guy he is we didn't know just how sick he was. After a brief stay in the hospital to have fluid from outside of his lungs drained we found out Bob had cancer. Not just any cancer, stage four lung cancer, adenocarcinoma. He was given his full diagnosis March 8th. The doctor thinks it has been growing about a year in his body. As of right now this particular carcinoma does not have a cure, but is treatable. How do you slow down a super hero? The answer we have found is cancer... but it still isn't stopping him!!!
Bob has already started chemotherapy, and still has to have the fluid that is producing between his lungs and the outer membrane of his lungs drained three times a week. His normal routine has been halted as of now. He is being treated by an amazing team at Danbury hospital, and also the VNA staff of Bethel.
Bob currently can't work, his body can't function at the level it used to. We are asking for any donation to help cover costs for medical bills and household bills while he is unable to work. Please help give him the help and hope he so needs right now.
