My name is Melina Anastasopoulou and I'm reaching out on behalf of my friend and colleague Pangthong , to humbly request your support in a time of dire need!

Pangthong is a PhD researcher from Laos at the University of Luxembourg working on investment law and environmental protection.

Pangthong's brother, Khamphanh Xayyavong, who lives in Laos, is battling renal insufficiency, a condition that has significantly impacted his health and quality of life.

The severe health problem of Khamphanh combined with the modest allocation of public funds towards healthcare provide more obstacles in finding a permanent solution. (The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that a minority, fewer than 15% of individuals experiencing financial hardship have access to health insurance.)

Currently, Khamphanh requires dialysis treatment twice per week to sustain his life.

The costs of ongoing dialysis treatments are overwhelming in Laos, and they're struggling to keep up with the expenses since they are also trying to support Khampanh’s son to study.

Moreover, the ultimate solution lies in a kidney transplant, offering the hope of a healthier, more sustainable future for Khamphanh.
