Help Pilka get urgent dental surgery

Pilka is a wonderful and loved senior chihuahua who has done many therapy visits and comforted adults and children alike and helped them to read for example.
Unfortunately he is sick with advanced & painful periodontal disease & urgently needs urgent dental surgery so the infection in his gums doesn’t do more damage to his internal organs. Right now it has started aggravating his heart and worsening pulmonary & lower airway disease symptoms. Also he feels pain in his mouth when he eats
We were very hesitant to ask for help or start a fundraiser but Pilka really needs this surgery that will improve his quality of life.
About the disease:
He was diagnosed with an urgent case of advanced peridontal disease which is damaging his internal organs and needs surgery to remove abscesses and most teeth to prevent the mouth infection to travel to his internal organs like liver , kidney and heart.
Because he has pulmonary hypertension and his health is delicate, he needs to have his surgery at a specialist clinic with staff that are specialized in his illness and his surgery costs are about 9000 Canadian because of his age and the complexity & risk of the surgery.
We can’t wait to see him eat without pain & continue doing what he loves best which is to go hiking, & give therapy visits & meet people and give so much back to our community again ❤️
