Help save Plum ❤️

Hi, I’m hoping to raise some funds for Jodie from JED’s Equine to help cover some of the vet bills for her 3 month old little filly Plum.

Plum/ JEDS Cabernet Sauvignon

Is a little 3 month old TB x WB foal that has quite a following on instagram and fb due to her quirky personality and cool markings.

Unfortunately she came down with diarrhoea a few days ago and on Friday when Jodie got home from work looked very flat with a fever so she was taken into Westvets in Anstead to be treated by their amazing team of staff.

She’s currently being treated by the amazing Dr Paula Williams who is pulling out all the stops to try and get her better.

It’s not known the cause of the diarrhoea, one thing it could be is Salmonella, amongst other things so we are waiting on test results which will take days.

In the meantime regardless of cause she is on broad spectrum antibiotics and high rates of fluids.

She is in intensive care and isolation in case it is Salmonella.

Her bloods are getting worse so she is going to get two bags of plasma which are very expensive as is all the treatment but may save her life.

We dread that despite everything she still may not pull through.

Hoping for better news every 12 hours.
