Help save Rooney's life!

Little Rooney has had the roughest start to life. She was found barely alive in a remote community by the Tom Price police, one of the officers took her in and nursed her back to life. 

 

He then got in touch with us and we found Rooney a home here in Perth. Rooney flew in on Wednesday and on Thursday she deteriorated. She is now going to a specialist vet after being referred to them due to how serious her condition is. 

 

We estimate a bill of 6k, and need to raise this money ASAP 

 

Rooney's little body Is shutting down, we need to be prepared to continue giving this little girl a chance at life! She's already fought so hard, please help us.

UPDATE 09/01/24 : 

Rooney has now been discharged from WAVES on the condition that she goes to a vet for check-ups and bloods. The bill has now hit 6k without all the other conditional vet visits, we have raised about 2k thus far, so if we could raise the remaining 4k this would be the best help for this little girl! She's responding so well to the treatment and is eating like crazy, she definitely still has loads of fight left in her

 

UPDATE 10/01/24 :

Sadly Rooney’s condition has deteriorated over night again since being off fluids and discharged from ICU. We have had to rush her back to the vet as she was not eating at all and was getting very lethargic. We have received her test results and its now confirmed she is positive for Anaplasma platys & Ehrlichia canis (caused by a tick bite). Rooney’s Liver enzymes are so high the blood machine cant even read it and bilirubin results are in the 300s. There is still hope that she can make a full recovery but it is clear she will need to be hospitalized a lot longer on fluids with daily blood testing, loads of medication and a feeding tube in place as well.

 

We are now looking at about $8000 and this number may increase again depending on how she responds. We have previously raised $2000 but will need another $6000 at this point if she has any hope left.
