Help Save Roscoe : Dog needs urgent surgery after HIT&RUN!!!

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Lutz. Today was the worst day I have ever had in my small town of Dunmore, PA because I went out to walk my mom’s dog, Roscoe. I was crossing the street in the crosswalk, and a black SUV was in too much of a hurry to press his brakes and allow me and Roscoe to finish crossing the street. He decided to ignore the law saying he needs to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks and ran over my dog's backside/legs. You can see for yourself what we went through because thank God this was all caught on camera. The worst part of all of this is the person never stopped as I’m screaming at the top of my lungs while my dog cries in agony. Many neighbors heard the screams of me and my dog, but the driver never looked back. My mom rushed him to the emergency vet hospital in Plains, PA, praying that he will be okay and will be able to pull through, not knowing if there was something I could have done differently to prevent this from happening. As the doctors come out, we sit nervously and impatiently waiting. They say Roscoe can pull through this, but he’s gonna need surgery as soon as possible, like first thing tomorrow morning, is the best way to make sure he can pull through this because Roscoe has four fractures and two hernias, one of which is displaced completely. But the only way that we can provide the services for your dog is you have to pay $8,000 to $10,000 upfront for it. If not, basically he will die or have to be put to sleep. I’m asking anybody with a heart for any part of this story that hits home for you. Please donate!!! Whether it's my role or Roscoe’s or just the accident itself, please find it in your heart. If you have the means to help, please help us get Roscoe the care and justice he deserves! I don’t have that kind of money; my mom has to pull it from her retirement, but that takes a little while. In closing, I want to thank the neighbor who had her cameras rolling at the right time and place, and also all of the people that came out to help me with Roscoe and for caring enough about someone else to stop what you were doing and lend a hand to me and Roscoe, someone you don’t know.
