Help Save Rudy: Support New Parents Morgan & Josh

HELP US HELP RU!! (and her owners/best friends, Morgan & Josh)

Hi everyone, our dear friends and BRAND NEW PARENTS are going through it with their sweet pup, Rudy. She's fighting several life-threatening medical issues and we're hopeful that the vet will help her pull through. *Rudy has been under care of the emergency vet all weekend, taking blood tests, managing vitals, and fighting infections*

Here’s what we know

After a few weeks of Rudy slowly starting to refuse food, eventually not eating at all and becoming more and more lethargic…

⁃ Rudy has tested positive for lymes disease

⁃ Her white blood cell count is very low, the vets think her body may not be making them

⁃ Her calcium levels in her blood are way high

⁃ Her kidney and liver functions are low

Best case scenario - Rudy’s body is reacting to the lymes paired with hyperthyroidism - this is treatable

Mid case scenario - Rudy has some form of blood/ bone cancer or lymphoma. In this case her life can most likely be prolonged with chemotherapy and steroids.

Worst case scenario - the vets can’t figure out what’s going on and this fast progressing disease takes her

At this point there are a lot of unknowns. Currently she is being boarded at the emergency vet hospital in Ventura so the vets can run more tests and keep her stable. She will be there till at least Tuesday.

We're now trying to help them through this process (and mounting vet bills) as they navigate new parenthood and this terrible news about their best furry friend.

If you know Josh and Morgan, you know how much they love and care for Rudy - their best friend and most loyal girl. They're busy being the world's best new parents to a healthy 5 week old baby, and now need our help getting through this awful circumstance with Ru.
