Help Save Southside Food Forest!
Donation protected
Southside Food Forest (aka Acadia Food Forest) is a community garden and recreation hub minutes from downtown Winston-Salem. For the past four years, intergenerational efforts by community members have planted fruit trees, herbs, flowers and berry bushes for the benefit of the community and ecosystem. Our members believe that eliminating food deserts in urban areas is essential to self-reliance and sustainability.
The Boy and Girl Scouts, the Hispanic League, the Winston-Salem Arts Council, Spark Community WS, the Piedmont Environmental Alliance, Wake Forest University, Activate Entertainment UNCSA artist troupe, Winston-Salem Fashion Week, Appalachian State University, Salem College, NC Cooperative Extension...
...have ALL used this space for events, workshops, internships, Eagle Scout Projects, and academic credit.
Currently, Southside Food Forest needs funding to avoid being bought out by real estate developers. However, there is an offer to sell the land at a discount to preserve this community green space! Please donate and help us secure this land for food production and recreation!

Please note that we will return any donations if this falls through. Thank you for your support!
