Help Save Stevie: Urgent Cancer Surgery Needed
Donation protected
Stevie is the most precious 4-year-old calico longhair cat with so many wonderful things about her. Sadly, very recently, a lump was noticed on her left mammary chain, which looks to be a form of cancer, and sadly these are prone to being aggressively malignant and spreading to other bodily functions, including the respiratory tract, which can quickly be fatal.
The veterinarian had suggested invasive surgery to remove both mammary chains, which would be the best chance she has for a long, happy life, though the fees are expensive and out of range of possibility for me currently. She is afflicted with this at such an early age... I am blindsided by the revelation, as I was expecting that if there were health issues, they would be dealt with many years from now instead. I would be lying if I said this hasn't been totally devastating news, and so I'm seeking help to save her and give her a long, happy life.
Stevie is an incredibly smart, vocal, agile, curious, and affectionate. She has such a complex personality it's hard to articulate in a few words. Stevie has an affinity for music, specifically and peculiarly sea shanties, where she'll stop what she's doing to run over, chirping and vocalizing while investigating, every time I whistle nautical melodies or play them on my concertina (it's like an accordion), without fail. I've never seen something as adorable in my life.
I adopted Stevie at an early age—she was six weeks old—during the COVID-19 pandemic, at a time when I moved 2,500 miles away from everything and everyone I knew and into a studio apartment about a month before the pandemic started. Admittedly, I was going through a very dark place in my life, and I adopted her to help me get through that, which she certainly accomplished. She provided me with so much company and joy, and I am indebted to her and so, so thankful and privileged for her inclusion in my life.
Since then, Stevie and I moved into our current apartment, along with the company of Oatmeal, a one-eyed cuddly and absolutely precious Siamese cat, and Daisy, a beautiful senior hound dog. She feels right at home with them, and it genuinely feels like home to merely have her presence around.
Any and all donations to help with surgery costs would be an absolute blessing and very much appreciated! I love my little Stevie with all my heart, and I feel this cancer is going to take her from this life much too quickly and would do anything I can to stop this. Thank you so much for your consideration and for helping save my little Stevie, who I love so, so dearly!
