Help save Sunshine VRI Lawn Bowling Club

 We need your help raising money to save Sunshine VRI Lawn Bowling Club We are a small Lawn Bowling Club currently consisting of 6 elderly members and a few young ones that came in to try and help save the club and to bring these little pleasures to our elderly community. Our club is in need of Urgent Repairs. Our greens need to be upgraded. Until recently we had no greens keeper and Joe, took it upon himself to try and maintain the greens. The old man has to use a normal lawn mower due to our ride on mower being broken. Recently one of our neighbouring clubs lent us a greens keeper, who’s wonderful assistance tried to get our green up to scratch but due to soil issues and having multiple different types of grass on it this is a very hard process. We also need to try and fix our club house due to the buildings age and the weather conditions in Victoria, parts of the roof has fallen in and due to some storms, Rain came through the roof and damaged our kitchen. We also need new equipment as all our equipment is out of regulation and our bowling bowls are almost as old as our members For us to bring in new bowlers and get the club some new members we need to have equipment for them to practice with. Please help us to get our bowling club up to scratch so our elderly community can keep on enjoying what they love to do. Just a little back ground behind our club members: We have Pa Joe, who at times forgets things and needs a bit of help to keep him on track, he is a grumpy old man but his our Pa and loves us all. He used to single handedly take care of the green. We have Happy Ma Shiela who is a great little bowler and she has a heart of gold. She will do anything for anyone to help them. She is like a mother to all of us (she adopted all of us and treat us like her own children) and will do everything she can for all of us. Ma cleans the club every Thursday even though she is in a lot of pain when doing this. We’ve got Pappa Heinz who at the age of 92 still bowls and needs assistance on and off the green but he can still bowl a mean ball. We’ve got Mamma Helen who at the age of 90 still always gets jealous if younger girls talk to her Heinz. Helen is our little Garderner and she has a special garden bed at our club that we have named mammas garden. She keeps all our gardens pretty and clean at the magnificent age of 90 Horst is our coach and the most caring and gentle man you could ever meet. He teaches our young ones all we need to know and just has a wealth of great knowledge to share. Siam is just our little motivational speaker and always gives encouragement to everyone. So for this reason we want to try our upmost best to save our club. Currently with all the issues our club is facing we are unable to put on events or rent the club out to bring in money for the club. We have started this gofundme to ask for assistance in raising funds to get our club up to standard so our elderly community can experience the joy of bowling for many years to come. We need funds for the following: 1. Our green is in a real bad condition and we would need to try and fix this so we can have more people joining our club and maybe start having competition and barefoot bowls at our club 2. We need to upgrade all our bowling equipment as all our lawn bowls are out of regulations 3. We need to fix our club house as due to deterioration over years the roof has started falling in and with the severe rain and conditions in Victoria this has cause damage to our kitchen as well 4. lol and just maybe some new uniform
