Taste Of Asia of Mishawaka needs our help

Attention: Taste Of Asia Fans:

This COVID-19 pandemic has had a severe impact on many of our local businesses. Including one of my family's favorite restaurants, "Taste Of Asia", on N. Main St., in Mishawaka.

Bill & Proaw Kellems are the Owners/Operators of this small Thai/Chinese restaurant. They specialize in fresh, made-to-order food & top notch catering services. For over 15 years they have earned many loyal customers, by consistently providing excellent food & service!

However, the pandemic has taken a major toll on their business. 

In talking with Bill about this matter, he made the following statement...
"An unfortunate perfect storm of closing for 1 1/2 months during the lockdown, the loss of about 25% of business which was medical office catering (evaporated almost overnight with the onset of COVID-19), serious staffing shortages, the carryout only format for 15 months initially for safety reasons & later due to no staff to work for dine-in, & finally the significant produce price increases on key ingredients have caused a real hardship to where we have fallen behind across the board with rent, suppliers etc.

I've battled a variety of joint, nerve & muscle injuries but I'm still working every day so we can try to pay our business financial obligations & Proaw works way beyond the limits of human endurance often till 3am or later.

Business definitely has been showing signs of improvement but... just trying to get employees, landlord, produce suppliers & family paid back... plus just in the last 30 days alone have had walk-in cooler, prep cooler, walk-in freezer & furnace ALL fail on top of the COVID related business losses."
